This weekend, Audra McDonald performs in two streamed concerts that benefit The Actors Fund, a charitable organization that supports actors and theater professionals. Broadway’s biggest stars are coming together to help financially support actors and industry workers amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has led to the cancellation of all Broadway shows until April 13th.
On Saturday, Audra and Will Swenson perform on “Stars in the House,” a YouTube series created by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley that features streamed concerts performed by Broadway stars in their own homes. Following “Stars in the House,” Audra joins many of her Broadway colleagues to perform in a one-night revival of The Rosie O’Donnell Show. A dedicated theatre-goer, O’Donnell hosts this special event to support Broadway, which she calls, “lifeblood of New York City.
